Frequently Asked Questions
Trefex lashing is used when break load requirements are less than 1500 kgs; for other load types you can use Texlash lashing which offers a Break load up to 5000 kgs.
Signode’s routinely advises customers who lash steel coils, copper coils, palletized goods, engineering cargo, and break-bulk shipments. We also offer lashing for multi-modal transportation across sea or land.
Signode’s Trefex lashing is available in 16, 19, 25, 32, and 34 mm width with a break load ranging from 450 kgs to 1500 kgs. When the lashing is used with Signode metal buckles, the system strength ranges from 600 kgs to 2500 kgs.
Signode’s Texlash lashing is available in 25, 32, and 40 mm widths with a break load ranging from to 1000 kgs to 5000 kgs. When the lashing is used Signode metal buckles, the system strength ranges from 1500 kgs to 8000 kgs.
- Trefex lashing is made from polyester yarn & polypropylene
- Texlash lashing is made from polyester yarn.
- Trefex lashing cannot be 100% recycled, as it requires a chemical process to separate the polypropylene and polyester before recycling.
- Texlash lashing on the other hand is 100% recyclable.
