The Octopus series automatic stretch wrapping systems feature a patented rotary wrapping ring, which can be programmed to start and stop film application at any height on the load without returning to the starting point. This can reduce film costs by up to 50% and generates a virtually unlimited selection of wrapping patterns. These compact machines use minimal floor space so they fit easily into tight spaces and can mount over existing conveyors or be equipped with their own conveyors. The Octopus series systems can wrap a maximum of 60 to 150 loads per hour depending on the model.

Automatic film cut and heat seal
Mounted on the wrapping frame, the heat sealing device rises and lowers with the film carriage to positively seal the film tail at any height on the load. This feature allows the Octopus to wrap from the bottom of the load up, improving productivity by reducing the time required to wrap each load.

Signode’s powered prestretch carriages accurately and consistently elongate stretch film up to 300% before it’s applied to the load. This ensures a secure, unitized load while using less film. The prestretch systems control the stretch level and wrap force independently to ensure safe wrapping of light, fragile loads and maximum holding power for heavy or irregular loads.
Designed for Octopus rotary ring stretch wrappers, the Auto Roll Changer increases productivity and helps to eliminate the labor associated with manual film roll changeovers. Its innovative design automatically replaces the depleted or broken film with a new roll, minimizing operator intervention and production interruptions.
The Pak-Air carriage cuts standard machine grade stretch film into bands. This allows the load to breathe while still providing excellent strength to properly secure the load. Ideal for produce, frozen goods, and hot fill products.
Designed to improve productivity and reduce downtime from operator intervention, Signode’s patented SideKick secondary film carriage is designed to automatically rotate into the primary wrapping position when the stretch film is depleted or inadvertently breaks.
Logo Wrap, custom printed with your company name or logo, helps to identify stretch wrapped loads and their origin. The Logo Wrap dispenser, easily integrated into any new or existing Octopus, applies the printed film under the standard stretch film during the normal wrapping cycle.
